If you have read my posts on previous El Salvador trips, you may have seen pictures of the clinic we are building on the site of Castillo del Rey near Lago Coatepeque.
This year, we arrived to see that a floor and pipes had been laid in.

Part of the group that went down this year were a band of hardy, savvy and motivated construction workers. Together, using the money we brought along for the purpose, they laid down over 200 feet of dry wall studs to divide the floor space into the future exam rooms, operation theater, dentist room, waiting room and other rooms. We anticipate that within the next few months, dry wall will be hung on these studs and we have rooms.
With the right funding, we would have the dry wall hung and done in about 2 weeks. The next step is to put in the water and cabling for electricity and networking. We will then need to furnish the rooms with equipment, beds, chairs, tables, examination instruments and we are ready to open! We are excited about this clinic that will provide healthcare to the indigent who have no access. Pray with me for the money, supplies and equipment. As always, if God moves your heart, write to me at
aswaniv@hotmail.com and we can talk about what you can do. There are a bunch of doctors and nurses willing to go down and work there. We also have a local doctor currently practicing out of a small room on the campus there. We can collaborate with him through telemedicine (our vision) and frequent visits.
